Sometimes, even when life is pretty good, we get wrapped up in the emotions of traffic-jams, family disputes, work issues, or just the need to understand why people do the things they do. In doing this, we collect so much of everyone else’s feelings and thoughts that we can loose touch with who we really are. Emotional living can create a sense of being disconnected from ourselves. When you feel good about yourself and your life, everything is easier. You can create health, loving relationships, prosperity and peace. The way to manifest positive life experiences comes from knowing who you really are. You are a spiritual being and have complete control over each part of your life. When we make choices from an emotional state, we can’t think clearly, make conscious choices for our highest good, and we certainly can’t see the whole picture. When we react to life from an emotional position, we cannot help others, and we certainly cannot help ourselves. For some of you, this might sound threatening, especially if you believe your identity is linked to your emotions. Discovering how to step away from emotional attachments allows you to see the big picture and make clear, conscious choices. We effortlessly give unconditional love and dedication to our children, spouses, our jobs, and even to our materialistic possessions; yet we have not been taught to give that same kind of unconditional love to ourselves. When you take time to really get to know yourself and learn to understand your emotions and the creative energy behind those emotions, you can learn to love yourself with that same kind of unconditional love. Once you are conscious of the creative power of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions you will see how these things create your life and your reality. When you are aware of what you are creating, you are in control of your life. Through a simple process of learning to quiet the mind, you can realize your true self, release emotional attachments, and be at peace in your everyday life.
